Le Petit Bistro Commemorates a Woodburn Legacy
The bistro’s new video documents a long family tradition of food service.
HUBBARD, ORE. 23 DECEMBER, 2024— Le Petit Bistro recently launched a new video on their website commemorating a family business in Woodburn called La Petite Deli. The small restaurant was operated in the 80’s by Marilyn Paradis, mother of Le Petit owner Ann Shultz, and quickly established a following for house made soups, sandwiches and desserts. “My mother’s business was a big part of the inspiration for Le Petit Bistro and I wanted this video to bring light to that,” said owner Ann Shultz. “Her vision to provide a local spot for people to gather and enjoy conversation over good quality food and coffee was parallel to our vision.”
Shultz worked in the original La Petite Deli during high school and college and then went off to work in marketing and advertising for over 30 years. After operating a side catering business, La Petite Cuisine, for 14 years, Ann and her husband David decided to take the plunge and turn it into a brick-and-mortar business reimagined from La Petite Deli.
“I wanted Le Petit to not only bring great coffee, espresso and creatively inspired food to our area but to also be a gathering place for the community,” said Shultz. “This was always at the heart of my mother’s mission and I strive to honor that legacy every day.”
Owned by Ann and David Shultz, Le Petit Bistro serves thoughtfully brewed coffee; handcrafted espresso drinks with house made syrups; daily fresh baked pastries; and creatively inspired food including house made soups, sandwiches and salads. They also provide charcuterie boards, boxes and grazing tables as well as catering services for intimate dinners, office meetings and large events. In addition, the Bistro has been holding a Saturday Night Dinner Series about once a month where a 4-course price fix menu is offered by reservation only.
